Automation built by a chemist, not just an engineer

KNIME workflows, cheminformatics, and data integration for pharma, biotech, and beyond, from someone who has spent as much time in the lab as at the keyboard. PhD chemist, twelve years in synthetic chemistry, now building the tools that connect chemistry, data, and IT teams.

About

A chemist who builds the automation, not just the case for it

Most automation specialists come from IT and pick up the science along the way. This consultancy started the other way round: over a decade on the bench in synthetic and medicinal chemistry, including significant work in high-throughput and parallel chemistry. Only then came the move into automation itself, building KNIME workflows across cheminformatics, machine learning pipelines, and database integration.

The harder part of that work is rarely the workflow itself. It is chemistry, data, and IT teams who do not always speak the same language, and a project only succeeds if all three trust the result. That is where this consultancy is strongest: sitting at the intersection of those disciplines, translating what each side needs, and building something everyone can rely on.

Services

Three ways to work together

Workflow design and build

Custom KNIME automation for cheminformatics, data processing, or machine learning pipelines, built around how your team actually works.

Process improvement

A close look at manual or inefficient research processes, with practical suggestions and the automated workflow built to replace them.

Systems integration

Connecting KNIME workflows to the databases and platforms your team relies on, including PostgreSQL and Snowflake.

Background

From the bench to the workflow

Before

PhD chemist with over a decade at the bench

Led synthetic chemistry teams at CROs on anti-inflammatory, oncology, and epigenetic targets. Designed and synthesised chemical libraries of thousands of compounds, and ran multi-step syntheses from milligram to over 100 g scale, working closely with computational chemistry, bioscience, and DMPK teams.

Now

Building the automation layer

That bench experience now goes into the workflows themselves. Building KNIME automation in big pharma, focused on cheminformatics, machine learning pipelines, and database integration, with drug discovery as a proving ground rather than a limit.
